My work is mostly observational with sketches and drawings as the starting point of my printmaking. I particularly enjoy the contrast between the immediacy and freeness of my initial sketch to the more considered and technical requirements of plate making; how my drawings evolve within that process and the unexpected often abstract results that ensue. I am currently working on a series of Photopolymer Gravure etchings as shown above for our forthcoming exhibition “Time and Tide”.
