Trained originally as a translator, I then went on to complete a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art in 2006. I have recently been selected for several open shows, including some at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol, England, and the Lessedra Mini Print Annual in Sofia, Bulgaria. My work explores many different media, from painting and print-making to cut paper reliefs, and my inspirations include the snowy winter landscape and traditional striped textiles of my native Finland. The work shown here is based on a series of coloured-pencil drawings, scanned and digitally manipulated. To see other examples of my work (and there is a lot of it!) please do contact me.
